I have a 04 3.9L and I'm debating getting some headers for it. I was wondering what the difference is between shorty and long tube headers. Is there a performance difference or is it just a sound difference? And what brand do you suggest?

Long will change the sound and add more HP. Shorty little to none and nothing on sound

Does anyone make long tube headers for 00' v6 stangs? I see shortys all the time, which I fear may be the only option for a v6 when making a true dual exhaust

My other question is....once we get past the headers.....as long as the pipes clear moving parts and whatnot....can I pretty much use any exhaust.....such as (essentially) a cobra exhaust for instance? As long as its the same year model (98-04 or whatever it is)
