BBK CAI

I came across a barely used BBK on craigslist for $140. Anyone have this model on an 05-09? It says it doesn't need a tune. Just looking for some opinions.

Thanks!

Did you do the tune at the same time? If not, what kind of gains did you feel with just the intake (sounds, acceleration, mpg)?

Thanks!

Re: BBK CAI

i did the tune after i got the intake, didnt really hear the air getting sucked in the intake cause of my exhaust, i had flowmasters on at the time and they were pretty loud, gained some horsepower i could feel it on accelaration, but to be honest, i felt so much more after the tune, also when i first put the cai on my check engine light came on, after the tune it went out, but sometimes my check engine light comes on still if i am on street performance, but know i mostly run it on the race tune with 93 octane and i have no problems. i hope this helps, what it all comes down to is i dont think the cai is worth it alone, but with the tune the diffrence is night and day. its fun to drive

I agree that I won't feel much with the cai alone, but it's a start haha.

Thanks!
