Need Help Engine Problem!

I have a 2000 V6 mustang which i bought back in April. The only Mod I've done to it is a CAI, the rest is pretty much all Original. Within a few weeks of driving it around I noticed around 40-45 mph the engine hesitates and the gas pedal kindof shakes. At first it wasn't all too bad but as of recently it does it almost every time i hit 40-45 mph. Sometimes if I lay on the gas a bit it'd be fine and wouldn't hesitate. At around 50-55 mph its fine again! What could be wrong, i really want to figure this out. Anyone else have this problem?

Has this only been happening since you've added the CAI?

No i put the CAI at the beginning of Summer, i noticed the hesitation issude around late april/may. It doesnt have the Check engine light on or anything either, so i have no clue what could cause this.

If there's no code I'd say it's probably not a vacuum line, in which case I'd say check plugs and wires, and possibly your fuel filter. What transmission type do you have? If you can let me know what it runs at when your at 45

Haha meant automatic or manual. And if you end up changing the plugs and wires, americanmuscle sells some good ones for cheap, I got my distributor from them as well and besides being cheap, it's well made and idles smoother than the stock one
