think my fan went out?

not sure but i think my fan is completely dead. i noticed the ac hasnt ben blowing cold at all the car is not overheating though. i ran it for 20 to 30 mins. just now and no fan. should i order a new fan or take it in to the shop.

make sure its pluged up first and use a volt meter and see if its getting power

If it's blowing but not cold it may just need to have it's ac recharged, some auto stores sell a kit to do it yourself, and most shops can do it too.

If you're feeling any air, it's not your fan. If your car is newer and never been recharged, I would try that. Hopefully, it's not your compressor because replacing those things is expensive!

very buy a mustang book it tells you how to replace if need be and what to check to avoid breakage.

Start the car and let it idle for a bit, after several minutes the fan should kick on. If it does not kick on after a while I agree with checking the connections and make sure it is getting power. If it comes on then try watching the compressor with the ac on. Look to see if the clutch enganges and it to cycle on. If all seems well the you may just need a recharge. There are still a few possiblities i.e bad compressor, leak in the lines etc. A shop can check all of this for you to better determine what your issues is. I would think the best case senario would be that you need to top of the r12 which a can should run you about 20-25 bucks.
