Replacement Honeycomb pieces

I noticed my honeycomb piece on my hood is starting to peel off, and just looks overall worn, and want to replace it. Anyone know a site to get them off of at a decent price? Also maybe the side scoops?

American muscle sells grill deletes and billet grill covers, while rockauto may have the honeycomb OEM piece

Re: Replacement Honeycomb pieces

Yah if you want aftermarket billett or deletes check out AM or other site sponsors.

Some of the site sponsors like CJ Pony Parts and Late Model Restoration sell OEM replacement parts like the stock honeycomb if that's what you're looking for.

Yeah i kinda just wanna replace the honeycomb pieces. They're looking faded, and have some adhesive or something on the grooves. So i'll check that out. Thanks.

Re: Replacement Honeycomb pieces

Yah you could spray them with some krylon black if you want to save some coin. I'm probably going to do that with my hood scoop insert and side scoop inserts. All the inserts came off different cars and weren't "treated" like my stock hood insert was. It's still shiny black.

Yeah i'd like to do that, but theres some dried on adhesive from a previous owner that just wont come off, and it looks pretty bad. Does anyone know what'd work to remove the adhesive thats underneath the inserts?

Something to remove adhesive from the paint that is. It looks like the insert had fallen off before, and he shot glue all over trying to get it back on.

Goo gone maybe? You could always try something like paint thinner, I'm not sure if it would harm the plastic or not. Also, trying using a heat gun on the adhesive.

Re: Replacement Honeycomb pieces

The funny thing you will find out is that one side of the car cost twice as much as the other.?.? That goes for the hood scoop grill, and the side skirt grill piece.
Go figure.

Re: Replacement Honeycomb pieces

you can upgrade if you want to 03/04 cobra versions of the inserts on the side scoops, instead of honey combs they are lines~ but they are for the side scoops not the normal V6 ones.

Do they go on over the honeycomb pieces? Or do they fully replace them?
