2004 40th Anniv conv.

What, if any, is the difference between a 2004 V6 convertible and a 2004 40th Anniversary V6 convertible? My insurance asked me when I added it on the other night.

Yeah. The 40th gets different trim and interior. Nothing insurance should care about.

Ive got a 2000 v6 with a 35th anniversary badge that i dont trust mainly since its a 2000. only way i can see it being real is if early 2000s also had them on there.

Re: 2004 40th Anniv conv.

the 2004 Anniversary were only crimson red with gold stripes or white with gold stripes~, gold wheel inserts (gt or v6 wheels with gold inserts), 03/04 cobra folding mirrors, interior trim (mach 1 style accent I think), and a badge on the side (but all shared the badge in 04). Thats most of it.

Re: 2004 40th Anniv conv.

technically ALL are the anniv cars its just only a few HAD the additional package offered~ I see them now and again driving around.

Its the same way mine is a 10th anniv cobra... (93 to 03) but its not a 10th anniv package car (which they made 2003 of fyi)

Re: 2004 40th Anniv conv.

Yah in 04 all the v6's/GT's/Mach 1's were 40th Anniversary cars...they all wore the 40th badges on the fenders. There were limited production cars that had the special anniversary package...wheel accents, stripes, painted cobra mirrors, larger headrests (Mach 1/GT), and the small 40th plaque on the shifter bezel next to the cigarette lighter. Everything was cosmetic, no performance upgrades or changes.

If your car has those things and is either crimson red, white or black with the stripes then the car is a special anniversary. If it doesn't have those things then you have a 40th anniversary car.

The 35th anniversary in 99 was the same way. All the regular v6's/GT's had the 35th badges on the fenders and the special 35th GT's were certain colors with certain cosmetic options.
