Question

Ive got alot of scratches that I'd like to get rid of. I got keyed recently and it looks horrible, is there something I could use to get them out or hid them or should I just save up for a new Paint-job? Thank you.

Depends upon how many, how long and how deep they are.
Many long and deep then save up for a paint job.

Try meguiars scratch x 2.0, I tried it on some scratches and got rid of most of them with just one application. Didn't really care about the car because I was trading it in but I had to get rid of the obvious scratches. Car was black and I was skeptical about but was amazed how it really worked. Worth a try, if nothing else you'll just have to paint it. I did it by hand but if you have a buffer machine even better. Good luck.

Re: Question

When machine-buffing out scratches, be very Very VERY careful that you don't burn through the clear coat! That is MUCH easier to do than the average uninitiated individual ever expects.

If the scratches are obviously through the clear and into (or through) the basecoat then don't even bother trying to buff them out... because once you cross that boundary you will soon be scheduling a paint job at a shop anyway.

Just offering my 2 cents....
