Re: After market underdrive pulley

if its 25% underdrive you should get around 5-7rwhp (around 10 at the motor~) not a bad mod and may help gas mileage a bit but dont do it if you have a stereo system as it slows down the belt drive and alternator.

see if it comes with a harmonic balancer or just the pulley, if its just the pulley its MUCH easier to install than with the balancer (need impact gun to install it)

Well I have an 03 v6 with one 12in sub and a single amp running the sub. So your saying that I shouldn't upgrade my underdrive pulley? I was thinking about it

Well I'm not sure but the bbk pulleys I'm getting says as long as you unhook the battery when installing then rehook after done then it resets its self to equal out the power so you dont lose any power but thats just what people and bbk says could just be trying to get you to buy but idk. I know I'm still going to buy them

I heard they make a difference but for the little power I rather not do it. Better to add a Windstar intake. Add drag wheels

Re: After market underdrive pulley

you MAY have issues with your car if you have a system at low rpms~ not always just an FYI, sitting still will cause the battery to drain and the lights may dim a bit~ just part of it. I had a system and an underdrive pulley for a while, not a huge deal just something to think about.

Re: After market underdrive pulley

Will other pulley kits fit on it or do you have to find one specific to the V6 because i cant seem to find one for the V6 on AM....LMR has one but its like $240

Re: After market underdrive pulley

for 99+ V6's the harmonic balancer and pulley are made together so you will need one specific to your car

ASP used to make them~ not sure who carries them now. Also note in 00-01 they swapped up harmonic balancers so make SURE you get the right one (notch in it or not you can look at yours and see)
