Emblem removal

Has anyone done this on a new edge stang? i was interested in cleaning up the trunk a bit before i added the blackout kit on it, and was wondering if there were any holes behind the emblems, or if it was just 3m-ed on there. Thanks!

Re: Emblem removal

How about the two on the fender? im assuming they had guide holes, and if so, whats the easiest way to cover them up and make it look nice?

The ford emblem and two emblems on the fenders have holes behind them. You could take it to a shop to get them to fill in the holes and repaint it... Otherwise, maybe get a different type of emblem or something to cover it up?

This is what I did. I took my emblems off and blacked them out as well. I have pictures of them on my profile and also a thread on it

Re: Emblem removal

Maybe try painting the emblems body color and see what that looks like?

Ugh, Pain meds will make you dumb things. If I had paid more attention I would have seen your first post.

A name for the procedure of painting your emblems the same color as the body - Chameleon Emblems. They blend into the surface they are on.

Re: Emblem removal

I fear red on red would look a bit odd though. But i may have them painted black for when i decide to get the car sanded and repainted in the future. But thanks for the info none the less!

There are no holes behind the ford badge on the trunk, only the gt badges on the side. Had them painted black on my old performance red gt and they looked awesome!
