Re: Getting HID lights

Good idea to get 5K HID's or 4300K if your headlights are tinted, otherwise they will appear green and dim. -Just a suggestion.

I'm going to post the night shade from my lights. I get the HIDs monday. Right now I have stock headlights. And they actually show light throw the tint and the tint is dark. Shows a medium orange color.

Re: Getting HID lights

These are not with the HID lights yet. This is just to show I shaded my lights, and you can still see through them with the stock lights.

Re: Getting HID lights

Yes, Very easy to install. First time may take you 30-45 minutes. Its self explanatory, schematic is usually on the ballast. After that it only takes 10 minutes or so. But remember, like I mentioned- Tinted headlights are going to make 10K lights appear even more greenish. You may want to go with clear headlights or switch the bulbs to 4300K.

HID lights were simple to install. Everything you do the first time is difficult. This was my first time with HIDs by they came out great. Even tho the headlights were tinted black, they still show blue

Damn dude, Hope you're OK. Post some pics when you can. Did your kit come with a power pack, one ballast, and a jumper wire over to passenger headlight?

@ GMULLINAX it was smoked and clear coated. Any collision center should be able to do this for you...

Re: Getting HID lights

I replaced my stock clutch with a SPEC Stage1 and a SPEC flywheel, also installing a new clutch cable, quadrant and adjuster. The clutch pedal feel is about the same. So much so, that I really can't say if it is a stiffer feel or not. I love the results though. It is a strong *** clutch. It catches when I gun it every time.
You can adjust a stock clutch by putting your foot underneath the pedal and pull up on it. What is wrong with yours?

Re: Getting HID lights

It sounds like you replaced you clutch and cable also. I don't know what could be causing that. I automatically guess that it is a problem with the cable its-self. I would disconnect it from the clutch fork and somehow depress the clutch pedal and see if it happened to get twisted, or bind up somehow. When you are under the car, you can see whether or not the pilot bearing is engaged (spinning) all the time or not.
