Rattling/ ticking sound?

Have a 1999 mustang v6 5 speed manual, and when a accelerate or floor the pedal this sound gets louder and sounds faster too. Can it be the exhaust manifold?

Most likely your exhaust manifold. If it's coming from the passenger side then it's defiantly the manifold. They are notorious for rotting or cracking because of how close they are to the ac condenser. My manifold is cracked and whenever I accelerate it makes a tick or clicking noice that increases with the rpms
