Autocross Help

Im going to be running my first autocross event in a few weeks up in Danville, Virginia, and am trying to figure out what class im in. I now im classified as a novice, but i also need to figure out what class my car itself falls into. It being a 2000 v6 with basic mods on it (intake spacer, cold air). Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Autocross Help

Assuming it's an SCCA event, you'll be in ESP. If it's NASA or some other governing body, then i am not sure as to their classing.

You're going to get killed by the street prepared PAX. Since you're a novice, they may let you slide into G-stock since your modifications are minimal & will do little to give you any competitive advantage. It really depends on who does the inspection & how anal they are.

A good cheap mod that will help lower lap times and give you more control, would be a new set of performance brake pads. I use Hawk HPS.
