Re: Mustang

How much did you pay for your paint job? You get what you pay for when it comes to paint.

Make sure you check every square inch of the car over when you're leaving. Once it's out of their shop you can't prove that they did it.

It's going to be outta town also so I'm not going to be able to drop in on them every day to see how the paint is going. Im going to tell my lil bro to keep an eye out in my baby while they get her painted.

Re: Mustang

wait you took the car from him without letting him finish the final buffing on it? it'll shine afterwards trust me..... and since it's somewhat dull (can't be that bad because light wouldn't reflect off it if it was) it's probably hiding the metallic appearance, did you tell him to use the same paint that matches your factory paint code?

Re: Mustang

it makes a huge difference after it's buffed, trust me, let him finish his job (whenever that may be) and if he used the right color i'm sure you'll love it, i saw my car before and after buffing, HUGE difference

Not finished!...prob still has orange peel!..if it was painted right wet sanding, buffing and polish will make it look way better!....and yeah if the sun wasn't out it may be hard to really see the full affect of metal flake...

Right
My fault I didn't mean it looks orange!...if you look at the clear coat and it looks ”wavy” its called orange peel and needs to be wet sanded...
And if you paid 1500$ w/o body work and he didn't paint every square inch?...id *****!!..

Yea it's wavy an naw he did body work I helped him out a lil with it just the paint it looks orange an it has wavy spots on it an I did not pay him yet no a dam dime so if he comes around my shop companying ima complain to 1500 an no ****ing buffe what time of **** is that **** lol you have to look real close to see the shine like those sprinkles you see on the metallic paints laser red is a metallic paint

---------- Post added at 08:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:04 PM ----------

Would the buffing take out the paint drips of it ?

---------- Post added at 08:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:04 PM ----------

How much u charge to paint a 2 tone like what I did ? Cobra ?

Id charge a grand for labor, and you pay for material runs around 200-250 but your paint job can prob be fixed, that other dude is right, buffing will work wonders, you just about have to buff for a super slick super deep looking paint job, now when you say drips you mean clear coat runs?? If so then yea, they will buff out, when you say wavy that sounds like body work not getting finished correctly, and orange peel looks just like the name says, it truly looks like orange peel up close and will dim the shine, but as long as he put enough clear on it that too can be buffed out
