85 mustang starter

I am trying to pull the starter on my 85 3.8 but the subframe oilpan and trans are in the way is there any other way I can get it out without having to take all or one off...

I've never worked on a 3.8 stang, but on my tbird with 3.8 I didn't have to remove anything to get to the starter. When in doubt, look in a book. Get a Haynes or chilton manual.

The starter is biger then the hole its in the subfram and oil pan are tight around it

Wish I could give you a definitive answer one way or the other. From my own experience, you should be able to drop the starter without having to remove anything else first. It is going to be tight though and may seem from first glance that it won't come out.
