Cheapest hp ever

Found this on YouTube all u need is zip ties!! Put them in as spacers above the gas pedal on the throttle cable reason being over time the cable will stretch don't over do it bc ur throttle plate won't shut all the way but it brings life back to ur old cable and let's the throttle plate open all the way back up again did this and now my car runs like a stripped ape it's an awesome little tip

Re: Cheapest hp ever

Its really nothing more than letting you go WOT without having to push the pedal all the way to the floor. Not some magic increase in horsepower.

If you verified that before then yes you've went back to what it was stock, if not its in your head.

That same thing works on Chevys too, I saw that on something years ago and ever since then when I get a different car it's one of the first things I check when tweaking for hidden power, pop off the air inlet hose, let a buddy push the accelerator to the floor and look at the butter fly or flys lol, I have found that alot of different cars are not going WOT, it's weird lol

Re: Cheapest hp ever

I had my son mash the throttle and my TB was at WOT. Since I'm not losing any power due to incomplete travel of the butterfly.... I'm not gonna mess with it. Besides, the windchill outside is around -10F and I don't have a garage to work in LOL. Maybe I'll mess with it next spring

Re: Cheapest hp ever

it doesnt add any hp/tq unless your stock cable is stretched out so much the throttle body cant fully open, and plus in no time it stretches back out where it was. It just feels like you have more power~ no real difference.

You make the adjustment at the throttle body, I usually just slightly bend the cable bracket myself

No it don't it brings u back to factory and if ne thing a little more open they come with slack from the factory but if u have drove with a bunch of slack for awhile to the diver once done it does feel like there is more pep bc he gets back what he was loosing in the throttle body at WOT

Well, its simple, if your throttle isn't opening wide open then you are not getting the maximum power from your engine, doesn't matter if it came with slack from the factory or if your cable has stretched wide open is wide open, not wide open is not wide open, so they are gonna be cars out there that will get faster from this tweak

I don't do it at the pedal but I'm sure you can, you would have to rap the zip tie around the cable to take up the distance from the actual pedal to the cable, just take up the slack
