Exhaust help!

I'm looking at getting a pypes exhaust system for my 96 v6 mustang. 2.5" full exhaust system, only thing I was worried about is the installation, and is it worth it. Are they easy to install, could I do it in my home garage with jack stands and basic garage tools? And how do you like your aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks!

Ok thanks for the heads up. Are they bolt on? Or will I need it to get installed at a shop, if so how much approximately is it to install?

Thanks!

Or how would it be if I just got a single flowmaster 40 series muffler for my v6. Do you think I would be satisfied with it for $100?

Re: Exhaust help!

You going for sound or performance improvement? If just sound yeah get a single flowmaster 40 or a knock-off from eBay, I have them on mine

Yea would be nice for both, but I'm kinda on a low budget so the single muffler would be perfect! So I'll just go with a single flowmaster 40 muffler tip. Cost about $80 for install? Or could I do it myself?

Thanks!

Re: Exhaust help!

Uh if you have a saws all and a welder sure you can do it lol
Otherwise get someone else to do it, it shouldn't cost $80 for two cuts and two welds......
If they want that much go somewhere else.....

Ok, I only have a single exhaust output so it should be pretty cheap. Thanks for the help!

Re: Exhaust help!

I have a single exhaust setup with a flow 40 to it's a great sound but I want to upgrade to a dual exhaust system. I went the local exhaust shop and asked about dual exhaust and they said it was not recommended because the fuel filter was in the way. What should I do?
