mustang convertable

Hey every one. I have a 2000 v6 convertable and I was wondering if any one could help me with a little problem. My top goes down perfect but cannot go back up. I was wondering if that ment my top motor has gone bad or if it just needs more fluid. Any help or answers would be awsome. Thanks.
