Exhaust question

So I went to get estimates on how much local exhaust shops would charge to put an H pipe and run flow master 40's with ss tips. They ran from 700-800 which is a lot. Then one shop said they can do it for 480 but they don't have h pipe and can't fabricate one. I was wondering if you guys like how true dual straight pipes sound

Re: Exhaust question

See following for modding info and many links to exhausts:
Good Information Thread.

Check craigslist for old GT exhausts ... its usually easy to find and old H pipe for cheap.

So if I find some gt take offs and an h pipe the shops can weld em and fabricate em and put em on right

Assuming you mean divorced pipes because even with an h or x it's still true duals. I have heard a couple cars with divorced pipes, they sound good IMO.

Re: Exhaust question

Please read exhaust links or google these questions ... this exact subject has been asked countless times. Easy to find.

H pipe to flowmaster 40s or a cheaper thrush weld version can be gotten is the general "best" sound set up for a V6 thats not gonna cost out the ***.

Any H pipe will work. All the shop has to do is cut you Y out and weld the new **** in.

Exhaust tips are your choice or you can dump.
