Longer Service Interval= 7500 miles.
-Mobil1 Extended Service= 15,000 miles.
It is not BS: Mobil1 ES can be utilized over the recommended 15,000 miles that they guarantee. Amsoil Ea oil filters are guaranteed 15,000 miles. If you so choose to replace an oil filter on our cars every 3,000 miles, it's no big deal. Bleed back of motor oil is minimum and you add a 1/2 quart. Done in 5 minutes.
- It's your personal choice.
- I accidentally ran the Mustang without any antifreeze on a 100 degree day without pegging the temp gauge but it got hot. Caught it just in time and I was extremely glad I had the added protection in the engine oil. I will keep using it as I approach 300K miles.

Respectfully, 7,500 k is no longer an extended interval. 7,500 is pretty much the standard recommend oil change for modern vehicles by manufacturers. An extended would be 10 to 15 k. 7,500 k may be extended in ones mind because of there old school ways but that's not extended. Unless you have a car from the 70's or 80's 7500k is not extended.

Royal Purple is great oil but another synthetic will do just fine and car engine will last long time

Re: Royal purple

Yes.
-I was reffering to his car (94-04). A general blanketed statement regarding an oil change slightly longer than OE recommendations.
The results posted following lab testing for both the oil and the filters is very interesting. Each oil has it's strengths/weakness's. Can make my head hurt reading all the info but great stuff to check out none the less.
