Mirror Accident

So after a night of drifting, burn outs, and data logging i made it back to the house unscathed only to knock my right side mirror off on the garage, breaking all the clips (wires didnt snap). So i was wondering what the best option was, should i get a new one from AM or a junkyard and put it on myself or just take it to a bodyshop?

Re: Mirror Accident

Yah hit up your local salvage yard and pick up a 99-04 unpainted power mirror. Keep in mind the special 40th anniversary models came with painted, folding mirrors (same as 03/04 Cobra)...just so you know what not to get.

If you don't have any luck at a salvage yard try MPS Auto Salvage or Prestige Mustang...they specialize in mustang parts and most likely have mirrors. I have personally dealt with MPS and was very satisfied...Derrick is good ****.

Clips should just snap into place and wiring is the same...if you're unsure about install pick up a haynes manual, I'm sure there's a writeup in there...hell there might be one online if you search.

LOL, I feel ya. I was in your shoes at one time. Over the years I have learned to work on all my own stuff after being taken for a ride on a car I took to a shop in HS...
