01 v6 upgrades??

I have a 2001 3.8 and I'm looking for some power and distinct sound, all I have now is a autozone DIY Cai, staggered wheels and just some repair parts in it, I was considering an engine swap, but don't wanna do the same old 3.8 to 4.6 swap, I was thinkin something interesting like a newer GT engine or possibly, I know you hardcore stang guys will hate me for this, but a little rice burner engine. If you can think of any good engines for me or even a turbo or a few bolt ons you can suggest it would be apriciated

3v swap has been done a time or two...4v's of course happen much more....and the most that swap are 2v's because their plenty to be found....but honestly i'd just sell the car and buy something else...unless you have a good mechanical knowledge base and a donor car you're going to get into more then you can most likely handle...just my 2cents

Agreed^ but if you have the dough, anything is possible... Call me crazy, but I think a f20c (s2000 motor) would be sick in a stang...

there's already a v6 running that...i'm sticking with the buy a new car method on this....

the saying of "anything is possible with money" makes me laugh...because it usually is intended for someone that's going to waste a lot of money.

How much fab work do you think the 2jz would take? Would I still need like a bigger radiator n all that? Would mounts be hard to hook up? Anyone know this?

I agree it would be good to sell it and buy a gt or something... A 351 would be pretty cool

the guy that did it still hasn't finished....it's been a 2 year project of custom fab work...he had a 500 hp turbo'd v6 and ruined it to try a 2jz project

Re: 01 v6 upgrades??

fc20 would suck you know why? It works wonders in the 50/50 weight s2k but v6 mustang + fc20 still wouldn't be 50/50 and heavier.

A DOHC head on a svo 2.3 would be interesting

The real question is do you have the funds to do any of this?
