Deer Repair BAD LUCK

So... I hit a deer a few weeks ago...

I started ordering parts from various places to fix my car... and EVERY PIECE that has arrived has been damaged !!!!!

Hood arrived cracked, shipping insurance claim filed.

Headlight support panel thing arrived with chunks busted off, shipping insurance claim filed.

GT bumper cover from American Muscle arrived bent and cracked in a perfect box. Called them, emailing pics in the morning.

Door arrived on a pallet, nails hooked on door handle and scratched, gouged, dented the door skin. Photos emailed to seller, he is
returning the cost of the door ($400 ) but not the cost of shipping ($100 )

Aftermarket fender arrived, box had been smashed, the fender is flattened a bit and is being replaced by the vendor..

WHAT NEXT??? Good Lord I can't believe my bad luck !!

Re: Deer Repair BAD LUCK

The good news is that so far I am only out $100 for shipping on the door, otherwise everything else is being reimbursed ( I think ). Gonna salvage the door, but shop figured 5 hours labor to clean it up enough to use.

I learned 25 years ago that it's wise to insure stuff being shipped... so far it has paid off time after time.

Re: Deer Repair BAD LUCK

American Muscle called me yesterday. They shipped out a new front bumper cover. They said "You can have the damaged one, do whatever you want with it, no need to ship it back".

THAT is exactly why I have buying all of my (new) parts from AM. They appear to actually care about their customers. Imagine that...

Re: Deer Repair BAD LUCK

and the aggravation priceless.. But glad it all worked for you. I insure almost everything I ship. I once had a text book that "conveniently" got lost in the mail. I was out 50 something dollars. (I being the seller.)

Re: Deer Repair BAD LUCK

The whole "hitting a deer" thing sucks bro. I feel your pain, I dont even hunt but because of a big buck jumping out in front of me @60mph, I bought a rifle and hunting license! Totaled my car, unsalvageable. Only good thing out of it is I bought my Mustang! Good Luck with all those claims.
