SCT Tuner

I just installed MAC long tube headers, H pipe, BBK 65mm Throttle, Stack Racing CAI, Demon Coil with Taylor 8.2 mm wires and new spark plugs on my car.

It was tuned with a new SCT Tuner -- for 87 and 91 Octane.

I want the most out of my tune, I only used it once. Is there anything else I need or can this tuner now be sold, since I really have no need for it that I know.

Thanks for the help.

Re: SCT Tuner

LOL if you want to get shot by someone sure sell it

If you download a tune to it and put it on your car, it will only work with your car.

Now you can send it back to SCT and have them re write the program but costs a stupid amount. So you'd have to sell the tuner for a stupidly cheap amount or give it away.

But you do realize its quite stupid to sell such a nice peice.

And how much did you spend on all those mods ?

Re: SCT Tuner

Way too much, but i'm happy with the car. I bought it used in 2000 and finished paying it off in 2005.... so about $3000 for the mods, but all ive done in 7 years is up keep - oil, brakes, alignment and inspection item stuff.

I have a saleen body kit on, with 18 cobra rims, new hood, saleen 351 wing and lowered the car. it looks good and sounds good.

What am i supposed to do with the tuner - i really don't plan on putting anything else on the car - the only thing I havent done is intake and gears.

After the headers, thats it.

You will need the tuner if you add intake and gears, also in order for you to sell the tuner you have to put your car back to stock in order to unlock the tuner (currently married to your car)

Re: SCT Tuner

other then you can check CELs with it. IF you plan on doing anything to it then its there. If you return to stock you can chagne the tune back...

If you get bored w/ those mods and decide to put some real power down you'll have it.
