A real supercharger would blow my little v6 to the junkyard and I can't afford that.. I wanna buy the electric supercharger kit but was wondering if it could work with a blow off valve or not.

Idk. If that's the kit I'm thinking of then I wouldn't get it. See what someone else has to say

Would the kit even give my car any more power or effect the sound at all?

Thought so.... That "fan" will dry rot and go in your motor. Pretty tragic. And what ever you do don't go with that g force chip bc that's a scam too just in case you wonder.

What is that thing in that picture??? Dude if you want power get some exhaust, cai, tuner, shift kit, a windstar intake, and some heads, throw in some longtube headers, and a turbo when you could afford it. Cheapest thing to do is get the exhaust, tuner and windstar intake. Get some gears too and a trac lock.

No way. Those "chips" are worthless. I know it's tough saving money to build your ride but don't get suckered into these scam products. Save the money, buy a tuner. Power per dollar it's the best thing money can buy for your mustang. Little by little you can gather up the funds to put together a full exhaust. Do it right! It's your car. Build something that you're going to be proud of. Build something that gonna get you respect on the street. Good luck bro!

re: supercharger

the factory bottom ends can withstand 10psi easy...... a real trubo/supercharger is the only boost you can make....... any of those ebay chip things are crap... a real tuner like SCT will work and some use diablo tuners but they usually have probelms...

re: supercharger

easiest way to determine something, and I hope this saves you a LOT of time.

Money = Power

plain and simple. If you could spend 20 bucks on Ebay, or at Autozone, and get 100 horses... people would do it all day everyday. Just start small, we all had to at somepoint. I remember when i was waiting outside for my first big purchase back in the day... a Catback exhaust. I took a day off work because i knew it was coming, and i couldnt wait. just remember, you get what you pay for.

+1. I've had my car for a year and every month I get to buy something; or spend a month saving for an install. If I can do it by working my job, paying my rent, insurance, electricity, gas, water, cell phone... Anyone can do it.

Example: last month I bought steeda x2 balljoints and steeda bump steer for like $400ish. This month I bought H&R SS springs and maxim motorsports camber/caster plates for about $350ish. And I'm about to buy Tokico d-spec shocks/struts in a week or two for $500. Overall it's costing around $1250 but spread out its doable. Already installed it all except my shocks and struts. There ya go; budgeting. It's doable, just gotta be patient. Haha

Re: supercharger

it wont work right, it will not add any hp (probably cost you some), everyone will make fun of it, and it will probably cause more trouble than you want to deal with on the car.

avoid it.

Yeah those chip things caused my dumb friend to blow his 97 v6 mustang auto. I guess the only thing it did was change gears at really high rpms. A week later his engine was gone
