White on white or white on black?

I'm about to plasti dip my rims and I'm stuck between white or black. They are going on a white 2002 stang . Opinions and or pics if you have them would be appreciated

I clicked on this thread hoping to answer/see something else

I think if you plasti dipped those 17" starfish wheels and left the narrow indents white that'd look *****in. Something similar to the 99 35th anniversary inserts.

Re: White on white or white on black?

Here's a pic of the 35th wheel...it's silver with darker inserts. You could paint the majority of the wheel black and leave the strips white, or vice versa

Haha nah all I got is the gt rims. But hey better than what's on there now. Also I never thought about doing the inserts white. That might look pretty good

I'm in favor of black for some odd reason.

Re: White on white or white on black?

I'm a fan of the all black too but everyone with those rims does that...I'm thinking just to be different and add some uniqueness do the stripes in the spokes...

Same here hints to why I was thinking white. But I don't know how white on white looks

Re: White on white or white on black?

Seen a few white on white cars...not a huge fan but to each their own...

That's why I was thinking the inserts would break it up a bit. Hell just painting the strips in the spokes black would wake them up and look really good with any black accents you have on the car - decals, striping, tint, fuel door etc.

Re: White on white or white on black?

Yah that'd flow nicely...maybe someone could photoshop the black stripes on the wheels...

I was actually thinking of the first suggestion of black with white inserts

I think that'd look *****in too. The black wheel with the white inserts would pop more imo.

The only thing is black pony or white pony in the middle. It would be hella hard to tape it off and spray it white vs just cover it all black

^ yes that would look amazing.

On a side note, I think Topless '04GT has started a Plasti-Dip craze, now we just need them to become a site sponsor.

haha I have NOOO idea what you are talking about

My idea... even though I own Triple Black... Triple White would have been my next choice. I say just go all white and worst case scenario is just to add some black to them later.
