Licence Plate Lights

Hey,
so I am just getting into customizing my Mustang and one thing I have found to change out is the lights directly above the licence plate in the back, these really stick out and the replacement I have found is the red LED's

RED LED LICENSE PLATE TAG LIGHT BULBS #Z3 | eBay

In all your Mustang professionalism would this be an easy, fast project because I do not know much about car's.
Thank You

To check and make sure they fit try going onto silviaheadlights.com they will tell you what kind of bulb that sits in there now. Then it would be easyer to look for bulbs. Hope this helps a little

Yup you take the socket out from inside the trunk and take the bulb out and put these in and there polar sensitive so if you turn them on and they don't work just turn the bulb around in the socket there identical to these

Yep but it might take a while to get up to Canada and also to put it on in minus 50 weather.

In most places blue and red among most other colors are illegal as the lighting can obscure the tag.

I've bought LEDs from superbrightleds - they have a whole website of stuff and sell off eBay and one of the forums... But do check about the red/blue legality thing- people are correct about that. I have a blacklight/violet led on my license plate, and it really is as easy as snapping one bulb out and the new one in. Domes are easy too -and look great.
I did my trunk light as well, now if I could just get it to work! I suspect a blown fuse but dont know which one

Well reading up on the laws (here in Alberta) the licence plate needs to be visible from 15 meters away (16.4 yards) So I'll splurge the ten dollars and try it.

Slightly off topic but reading in the same section, taillights must be visible from 150 meters away (164 yards). So does anyone know if a smoked taillight tint from like Americanmuscle comply with this law?

Yeah finally got the lights today and had to put them in right away. Took quite a bit of twisting and pulling but after a few attempts got the red lights in. What do you guys/gals think?

That's looks good but did you check into the local Laws to see if you can have red license plate lights because I know here that's illegal I mean even if you can see it 15 feet away

tinting any light (head or tail) is illegal...it's one of the do at your own risk sort of mod.

Ya thank you for everyone's help. I'll just keep the red lights for now and the tinting shortly later but at the first time it comes up I'll act stupid and take them off ASAP
