3.8 not staying started

Hi, my names Chris i own a 98 5speed 3.8. I have a quick question. I went to start my car today and it wouldn't stay started.. I know its not the battery or the alternator because it cranks over just doesn't stay started. It cranks over and starts for a SLIGHT second before dying out. I believe it could be a fuel pump or fuel pump relay but would like any input. I also recognized that when I turn the key to the "accessory" position that i hear a slight click then another quick click after. , so I'm not sure if thats the relay thats clicking the fuel pump on then straight off.. or what.. Any input would be appreciated
Thanks,
Chris

Its a sensor, don't remember which one at the moment...think it may be the cam position sensor.

I had the same problem when my sister was using my car, she had to have a sensor replaced. It could be a number of things really. If the car detects an issue, it will shut itself off. You really need to find what code ur getting. That will provide the best clue.

Ya that doesn't make this easy lol. U need to try to figure out what the problem was because it could happen again at a more inconvenient time. Inspect the car thoroughly and if you still can't find what it could be, take it to a shop.
