burn oil?

was told by my friend who was told by the ford dealer that the 3.8 burn oil sligtly? Is that true?

No, if you do the oil changes on time shouldn't have problems. I know that after a while oil breaks down

Oh okay thanks cause when I did my oil change I had a little gone but the guysaid it was sludge:/ he ran something to break it down and got t out

Every car over time will eventually start to burn oil!.. How much and how bad depends on how well you take care of your car!..

Re: burn oil?

There is a spec for how much oil your engine should and will burn, check all data or mitchells. You should be able to find out, most cars will burn a quart every 900-1200 miles or so.

Alright thanks guys I was asking cause the guy at valvoline that changed my oil (I can change my oil but the mother didn't want me to deal with the mess) said I had sludge because my oil level is low and I didn't know of it was burning oil or if it was sludge
