How do u take the shifter boot off?

They only way I know of is to cut the black tabs off and pry it off easily with a screw driver. When you go to reinstall it juss use a lil bit of epoxy and glue it back flat to the plactis.

Ok thanks I figured that's what u had to do but wasn't sure it's kinda silly to have to break it

Yea I agree. Ford should have made a clip or something to be able to remove it and reinstall it. But cutting and glueing works. That's what I did to mine.
