'99 Window Leak?

Hey guys, I need a bit of your advice/knowledge.

My '99 Mustang (Coupe) seems to have a leak on the little rear passenger side window (the proper name escapes me at the moment).

It's been raining heavy for a few days (no sort of garage or cover) and when I got in my car to head to work, I noticed some water running down the plastic trim by the rear passenger seat, under the little back window. It was only on the side trim, and I could see water where the lower trim meets the side/upper trim. This made me concerned, because I've seen water once before in the same spot, after washing my car once.

Any ideas to what's up? The exterior of the window looks like all the seals are fine.

Humm? Maybe it's not the quarter window? Have you checked the seal at the top of the rear window? It might be leaking there and running down on the inside. You might have to remove the interior panels to see where it's coming from.

Unskrew your seat belt on that side and you can take out the pannel by the window. Check out the window there and if theres nothing apparent there then sit inside your car and check the molding all the way around your door. Tell me how it goes!

Re: '99 Window Leak?

Hm. I'll go ahead and see about pulling the trim off when I get the chance. Run a water hose over it and see if I can spot where the water's coming from. If I find something I'll take pictures and give an update. Didn't know if this was a possibly common problem.

Sometimes the window wasnt put in right or the stuff around the window gets holes and such, plus out side of the car water can sit there and pool in heavy rain. Let us know what you see and if u need help
