question ???

I was doing so research online it says heads on 3.8 94-04 are the same ... Is this true will they bolt up everything fine?? If so I can get a set of gone through ported aluminium heads off a 96 and put on my 00 ... ??

I've heard gaskets were bad around 94's and the heads on 99-04 were fine. I would alway be cautious with that many years in between. Don't take my word for it tho

The aluminium heads are actually off a 96 3.8.. there the whole head assembly ..and if there the same Ima use gaskets for my 2000.. and I agree lot of years between that's why I want yalls opinions

I know your 00 has split port and the 96 is single so you'll lose some horses in that swap.

How ? I have windstar intake set up and I know its 40 HP difference... Just talking about the head swap keeping my same upper and lower intake

Yeah the windstar adds about 7rwhp but I'm pretty sure you can swap the 2000 onto a 96 but not the other way around cuz the heads wont match to your upper and lower intakes. 94-98 are single port 99-up are dual port giving you that 40hp extra. Your best bet is to get 4.2 heads and fuel rail off a f150

Yeah I know the differences in the years and untamed that's y I was checking before I got em ... Wasn't figuring it would due to the intakes but appreciate your knowledge bud ... Now 4.2 is different ball field same block just bored over and such right? I have been through 4 engine swaps on my stang all to a different 3.8..

Yup pretty much, they're stronger then our 3.8 and bolt right up. I know a guy on here that's selling everything you need for 250... if interested... I was told he's a trusted guy on here so no BS if you know what I mean lol

Yessssss!!! Rebuild that engine and replace your 3.8 with it. You'll just need a bigger fuel pump. That way you have the original engine in storage if you wanna sell the stang in the future

Well its a Ford v6 so I'm 90% sure it'll bolt right up. The internals will be good up to 300hp so you could run 8psi on that SC, throw in some new rear end gears and a tune you should be running mid 14s on a track.
