Engine start up

Finally finished my head gaskets, and replacing lifters. We started it up and it was nocking a little and was fairly rough. We started it two or three more times and let it run for 2-5 mins each time giving it some revs to get it going. I started it up after hockey and it sounded fairly good, it was still a bit rough and did misfire a little when I rev it but not much. Does it take time for the engine to settle in? Or do I have a problem?

Make sure everything is connected. Retighted the bolts. Looks for air leaks. Should have no problems buts its minor
