01 - 04 TB cable

I'm debating on a Windstar intake kit. But I have a 99 and I want the 65mm tb, if I do get it. Other than a junkyard where can I find one or are there any other ways of bypassing this.

Re: 01 - 04 TB cable

If you are considering a VAP Windstar kit all you have to do is email Steven@VAPauto.com and ask this same question. He will tell you everything you need to know about how to make his kit fit onto your car. Period.

No matter what "kit related" obstacles you encounter he will be there to help you out. Period.

The customer service he offers is on par with American Muscle... You could not ask for more than that, simply because it doesn't exist.

If on the other hand if you are considering building your own Windstar set-up from junk yard parts you may be hanging out there in the wind on your own.

Dunno, I got his kit, he solved my issues, and now I am a satisfied customer. Period.

Just my 2 cents............

Email him and give it a shot...

Re: 01 - 04 TB cable

This is a copy/paste from VAP Auto...

65mm Throttle Body Upgrade & Porting!
I've just started modifying the 65mm GT throttle body for use with the Windstar kit as a more affordable alternative to the $200+ aftermarket 65mm throttle bodies. These TB's are modified using an updated jig to maintain perfect TB geometry. Due to the GT TB cable style, this is only available for the 01-04 Mustangs. 99-00 would need to swap throttle cables to the newer 01-04 cable.
