v6 engine swap

So I found an engine/tranny from a v6 5 speed 2010 mustang. I was curious as to whether it would work for my 1997 ford mustang? Also do does the ECU differ in anyway? I'd rather find things out before spending the money to drive 6+ hrs to get it. Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!

'10 V6 into a '97! That's gonna be an interesting build! Be sure to update this swap thread if you decide to go through with it.

That will give you an extra 60 horses over that 3.8. How much is the motor?

We decided to go for it. We paid $1500.00 for the motor/tranny. It looks very clean. The guy actually owns a restoration business and it came out of his own car that he wrecked. The motor/tranny only have 20k on them.
