Gas pedal

I test drove an 04 gt and noticed there wasn't any slack in the accelerator pedel like in my v6.Did they just make the v6 this way and not the gt? Is there a way to fix this pedal slack thing on my v6? thanks again dudes.

Yep basically...I did it 4 years ago and the spacer's still there. My buddy did it on his 01 GT too. It's worth spending the extra 50 cents for the hose clamps too or else the spacer will fall off the cable a day later.

It's definitely a tight squeeze under the dash but worth the time and hassle.

Haha, I laid down with my feet sticking over the top of the seat next to the headrest so I could work down there.

It's a 1" nylon spacer..the I.D. is ~.125", just make sure it's big enough to fit around the cable.

I can't remember exactly what I bought as I did it years ago and the car isn't with me right now, but maybe lplagears can let you know.
