Forged internals

What do you usually do to a v6 motor when they say forged? I know forged are tougher internals, but if I wanted to forge my enternals, what businesses sell forged internals for a 2000 v6 mustang. I always wondered this. I all of a sudden have interest in nitrous. Is the super six motor sports h/c/i pack smart thing to use? I wanna know all there is going this route just to see.

I'm just asking for help. If that's too much to ask and people here are going to nag, then maybe I don't need yalls help in the first place. Because 95% of y'all do not know what y'all talking about anyways. And the other 5% act like they can boss everyone else around. In the end none of y'all are helpful.

---------- Post added at 02:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:07 AM ----------

For the record anything I asked about were just questions. Never fully made up my mind on anything.

How much of a shot do you want on your car cause I can tell you over 100 the engine isn't the first to break. The rear breaks and transmission needs to be able to hold the power too

Re: Forged internals

They're just trying to help you out.... I've changed my mind alot and it cost me alot in turn. All the money i spent before i had a solid plan could have gone towards the finished product. People are giving you the best advise possible by telling you plan, plan, plan. So chill homie.

Insults aside, you need to set a budget and determine how much work your willing to put into it. That will be the deciding factor. All of your ideas have a common theme, more power. What we don't know is how much you have to or are willing to spend. To be frank most of your ideas are ones that are going to be expensive and labor intensive. If you've got a few hundred to work with than use the bottle, if your have a few thousand then go with forced induction. I think that the gains you seem to be looking for will be best realized with a turbo or supercharger. I struggled with this myself at one point, and I'm sure there are many of us here that it has crossed our minds. Ultimately I decided to leave the motor alone. I will find me a black convertible GT and give my v6 to my son. I get more power and my son gets a mustang for his first car. But that's just me, in my case I'd rather spend the money working on a v8. Although I have put a good bit of sweat, tears, and money into my v6.

Then you don't need to build your engine. You need to get a dyno tune and maybe colder spark plugs.

I would not waste the money on the system or the two hours installing it for a 50 unless you plan that as a starting point to learn how to safely use the gas before stepping it up a little at the time. You can, but would not use it at all w/o a tuner and nitrous tune, especially w/ such a small shot, because you will be disappointed with results of such a small shot. You'd get more HP on a daily street legal basis w/ a HCI swap, which will cost more but will be safer and something you can enjoy everyday w/o worrying about all the variables and extras of using gas, like bottle filling, bottle pressure, bottle temp, gauges, purge set up, your safety if you were rear ended by some idiot. Lots of stuff to consider, oh not sure where you live but it's against the law to have lines hooked up on a public roadway where I live, my dumb *** brother brother. Anyway if I were going to put the gas on mine I'd go with a Zex kit, lots of really cool features.

Yeah with the silly juice you gotta think about refilling the bottle, that's an ongoing cost. Do you plan on taking it to the strip?

Re: Forged internals

if you are going to build the motor its going to be costly, end results when done with heads/cam/intakes if you keep compression near stock should be around 230rwhp~ give or take. You can also stroke it to a 4.2 while you are at it.

Yeah to have fun while I wait to buy a v8. While I save up for a v8. I got to be occupied.

Y'all see where I'm coming from? I wanna have fun while I save for a v8. In the end I'll have a fast v6- daily driver, and then a bad *** v8.

in light of that, i would say keep the v6 stock and save the money you would have spent for the GT. after i got the GT i would keep the v6 as a DD for the good MPG's and spend money on performance upgrades for the GT. might start collecting performance upgrades for the GT now? or even get upgrades that will work on both so you can transfer them to the GT when you get it.
just an idea, dont hit me!
