Suspension Kit

I just purchased a suspension kit from tokico product # TOHPK237. It includes springs w/ the blue hp tokico shocks/struts. I want to install them but I'm hesitant to install these items with the bushings and all those little things. What exactly is necessary to replace when installing this suspension kit. Currently my suspension is really bad and the car is not aligned. I thought it'd be a good idea to install this things when I'm able to align the car AND purchase and install the bumpsteer, offset rack bushings, springs isolators and other little bushings I don't know the name of. Can someone list the other things I need to be looking for and possibly make recommendations of products?

Re: Suspension Kit

Pick up a set of maximum motorsports caster/camber plates. The 4 way adjustable. This is the only real way to align the car after lowering it.

Re: Suspension Kit

^^ get the maximum motorsport 4 bolt cc plates. The install is actually very easy. If you have air tools even much easier. Read a how to I wrote and please let me know if you have any questions etc etc.

Re: Suspension Kit

Do you recommend any other type of CC plates and are you affiliated w/ maximum motorsport? Are 4 bolt any better than 3 bolt? I know CC plates are needed to align it but how about isolators, spacers and bushings? What should I worry about and what would be a waste of money.

Re: Suspension Kit

neither of them are affiliated w/ MM. I think it's just a general consensus in the mustang community that MM CC plates are the best out there.

Re: Suspension Kit

MM are the best and strongest on the market. You can go with any you feel you want, it wont effect me either way. There are many companies that make 3 bolt design. I dont see a huge issue with 3 bolt on a normaly driven DD vehicle~ but 4 bolt is just a stronger design and MUST be used with coil overs.

The MM also has a top plate that can be flipped for more adjustment. No one else that I know of has this.

You get what you pay for in the end~ you may be fine with a cheaper CC plate from UPR or what not~ its just a risk you have to take and hope you can get an alignment~ UPR, Steeda, and other such companies make CC plates.
