Predator tuner

Found this on Kijiji and I was wondering If it would be worth buying and if it works for my 96 v6 mustang. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How much is it? Does it come with tunes and free tunes for life? It seems to be in agreement amongst mustang owners that SCT tuners are the way to go. I just bought two, they come in tomorrow so I'll let you know how they are.

My sct's cost 380 each, but I'm confident they are the best tuning for our mustangs minus a full dyno tune.

Re: Predator tuner

Is it new? I wouldn't purchase a used one unless I knew the seller very well, and could physically verify that it was unlocked before I bought it. If you buy a tuner that isn't unlocked than it becomes an expensive paper weight...unless you send it in to have it unlocked and that's expensive too.

I personally would buy a new SCT Xcal3...much easier interface and some vendors such as American Muscle offer free custom tuning and free tunes for life, along with free shipping...hard to beat that deal.

+1 it wouldn't be fun to get it and find out it was locked.

Yea it's just a lot of money for one thing, I was thinking maybe if he let's me do this I could go to his house and try the turner out and if it works I pay him for it, if it doesn't work then I don't.

Re: Predator tuner

Yah if you have an auto than it's definitely worth the price from what I've heard.

That would be the best way to know whether the tuner would work...if it's locked it won't accept the car's stock tune.

I just installed one of mine today. I've got a 5-speed V6 and it is worth every penny! The other one is for my truck. Not cheap but I'm glad I got em.

Do you think if the predator works it's worth it? Cause I could probably drop the price to $150, saving me $250. I think it's worth it cause those sct tuners are pricey!

One for the stang and one for the explorer. Tested the explorer last night. Wow, what a difference!

Well if the Predator works then for $150 it's a good deal..but how do you plan on tuning it? Send it in, tune yourself, or will the previous Diablo tunes work on your car? Not too familiar with Diablosport tuners.

Just trying to help you out so you don't get burned or end up spending more than if you simply bought a new tuner.
