Help?

Used duplicolor black and duplicolor clear coat and it still came out with a Matt black finish?

y not take it to a body shop and tell em to paint it

Put more coats on or try another clear evidently the cowl is soaking it up did u put a sealer on it before u paint?? If not u should have scuff the cowl spray can prime it couple coats then paint and then clear

Cleaned and sanded with some 2000 grit till it felt like glass and then painted black and then cleared

Preped work sounds good hope u cleaned it before spraying tho the oils off your skin will cause the paint to lift.. plastic soaks up paint as does fiberglass.. always need a sealer before painting new parts it brings out color better and help with less coats ..

Yea I used alcohol to clean it really good and yea I guess I should of promerd it before color well its taped now and don't look bad actually matches the Mach 1 chin spoiler so it's good enough for now

@ stangerbanger00 I may be wrong but i think the best ones you can get should have stock compression and strong enough for any future boost you might want later such as a turbo or supercharger.
