Some research

There's an idea in my head that I would like to see what direction it takes me.
Building a super six. Since I have a v6 in my car now, I wanna make it fast. But I need yalls help.
I need to know how to build a forged internal h/c/I motor. How do you do this? Has anyone done this? It would be awesome to have a v6 a new edge v6 at that, that could be a v8 killer. And I love the way this car is. It's exactly how I want it. Now I need some help and some direction I need all the knowledge y'all can give. What do should I do? What do I look for building in forged internals in this v6. And don't give me buy a v8 crap. I know that already. I have a whole life to buy a v8. Right now I just want to play. Bc when the v6 motor finally craps out I wanna upgrade it.

Re: Some research

H/C/I most likely won't get you a V8 killer. You have to go F/I in order to really step your game up and play with the big boys..

So forced induction. Well that leaves me with this choice.

Does this keep the cold air intake that I already have? Or does this kit replace it?

Re: Some research

Honestly, i have no idea. From the looks of it it looks like you should be able to keep it. I know next to nothing about S/C kits.

Alright thanks.

---------- Post added at 09:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:57 PM ----------

I seen this kit when I first got into modding my car. Always wondered what it could do. I know it'll wake my v6 up big time. I was just thinking. Would it be a great build if I got what I needed for procharger kit, and have my stock rear end with a track loc and 3.73 gears bc it is forced induction?

Get a tuner first! Really added some pep in my stangs step. It'll also allow you to get more out of the other mods you want.

Got the SCT tuner already

---------- Post added at 09:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:25 PM ----------

I got the SCT tuner, 93 octane on all three costum tunes, k&n FIPK cold air intake, and Pypes true dual offroad exhaust

---------- Post added at 09:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 PM ----------

This procharger kit really caught my attention. Could it go with longtube headers?

Longtubes would be a good idea.

What kind? I like ceramic coated but ones I can just install with basic hand tools... What do you recommend?

Whats no EGR or no air fittings does that mean I can install on my car? Unless I delete the EGR? Is that even safe?

My personal preference would be a windstar kit, turbo runnin a couple pounds, open up my intake and exhaust ports a little, 8.8 with 3.73s, and a nice tune. Right now all I have a autozone CAI... -__-

I don't like the windstar intake set up. I like the intake system I have now. It isn't going anywhere. If anything I will get that procharger kit. A few mods here and there. Then call it quits.

Re: Some research

CAI's are nothing for our cars, the stock air intake is just as efficient.

Sure will. Right now I wanna focus on just a set of 4.10s and a track lock with longtube headers.
