Only bad thing is, for now I have turn ups, and Friday I'm going to see about getting turn downs

---------- Post added at 06:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------

But sound wise, its distinct it was like classical music when it was a full exhaust an now it's like deep like metal music. It'll match the music I play in my car. As I lay dying it will be like my bass. Lol

Nice...glad you're happy with it. Back in the day I was so hell bent on getting tips I never even considered dumps...would've save a lot of money too lol. I'd try it now but It'd look wierd now that I have the GT bumper.

Yah I get a lot of compliments on the tips...so glad I spent the cash on the GT bumper...they look 10x better sitting in the cutouts rather than just under the bumper.

I'm happy with it...

---------- Post added at 08:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 PM ----------

And it beats the other idea I had... Switching to borla stingers a Gt catback. And getting a Gt bumper. But I'm glad I did dump pipes

---------- Post added at 08:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 PM ----------

But I need to do the turn downs bc right now they're pointing up and out towards the rear wheels.

Yah much cheaper too lol...and borla stingers sound ok on a v6, but not that great (due to being straight thru) so you'd probably be happier with your current setup over that one.

That's very dangerous! Don't sit in the car when it's idling, you need to get those gases away from the car, not help them get into the cabin. You need to get that fixed asap! Done correctly they should be angled down and slightly outwards to help keep gases from pooling under the car.

Alright I'm going to do that this Friday at an exhaust shop

---------- Post added at 06:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:56 AM ----------

Could I just get those turn down elbows from an auto advance those stainless steel elbows and weld those on to turn it down and put?

Just have the exhaust shop do it, they should make turndowns for you cheaper than buying pipe your self and having them weld it.

When I did mine was cheaper and easier to buy and bring my own. That was 10 years ago though.

Re: Not happy with exhaust tips

We have to remember: Not everyone lives in areas that have good abundance of shops, tools, products etc. And have to work with what they have around them. For me, my shop "Mufflers for Less", I could get all that stuff done for me cheap, but how many other people have shops like that around.

I got more muffler shops in my area than any town could ever need at least 35 shops not including shops that do it on the side

Well. I have an exhaust shop not just but a walk a way from where I live. By thats the shop that did my exhaust in the first place he kept my y pipe without me knowing and sold it, and when I went back to him to get my exhaust welded he wanted to charge me 80$ and he got 130$ for my y pipe. So that's why I didn't go to him. Because he still thinks I owe him. This Friday I'm gone see the other shop acoss the river.

I got mine dumped and honestly I'm not a fan. Mustangs just look better when the tips stick out. And IMO sound better too. When I upgrade my exhaust I'm not doing turndowns again.
