Straight pipe/tuner

I am hoping to straight pipe my 96 v6 mustang, just wondering if anyone has their v6 straight piped and if it is worth it and sounds good. Also would like to know approximately the price of a straight pipe, and also if it would be better to do a dual straight pipe or go with a new flowmaster muffler. And also sct tuners, could I use it with my 96 v6, 2002 v6 and if I were to buy a 2003 v8, could I use it on all 3 vehicles? Thanks!

You can only use the sct on one car, so have to buy one for each vehicle. Straight piping a v6 would be a bad idea, you want some chambered mufflers on there at least.

Have to agree straight pipe on a v6 doesn't sound good at all, when I bought my 96 v6 it didn't have muffler and it ran really strange but took it to a local shop and had the install cherry bombs and it sounds much better now and it runs a lot smoother

So you suggest cherry bombs? Maybe a glass pack, or a flowmatster 40 muffler?

Re: Straight pipe/tuner

Mine is straight piped all the way out with a FM 10 muffler on each side. You tube has cars with no cats, straight piped all the way out. Give a look.

Imo magnaflow sounds better then glass pack but at the time when I had it done I was short on funds to get them, fm delta 44's sound awesome also, its all up to you and what kinda sound you like, do your research and check out vids on youtube before you buy anything

Re: Straight pipe/tuner

Yep, Do your research. Cherry Bomb makes excellent mufflers for all Mustangs. The Vortex is great and the Extreme, and the PRO too.

I have true dual straight pipes with all cats, sounds ok but the drone is rediculous. Deffinitly looking into some flow 40s maybe

Re: Straight pipe/tuner

Two more days until my new pieces go on:
LT headers, ProChamber, hi-flow cats, FM 10's, & tailpipes!
