4" cowl hood

Looking for some honest opinions. My dad is able to get a 4" cowl for a decent amount, and he has experience painting cars, so he'll paint it for the cost of supplies.

So, i have basically a Stock 6'er, not really any performance mods, aside from a CAI. I have blacked out wheels, and blacked out taillights, plus bumper inserts.

Now, my question for you all is, how do you think a cowl looks on these cars. I'm not as concerned with the power of the car, as much as the look. I have a shorty antenna on order, as well as a chin spoiler. I really like the mean look of a cowl, but i'm looking for other people's opinion on them.

I like cowl hoods to an extent... Although, I do not really see a liking with a huge cowl hood like that, but that's just me.

It's a cool look an all, but IMO I would get something THAT high for a V6 seems pointless if there is not real reason for the need.

It would seem to me to be just to obstruct you line of sight IMO.

That's just a v8 guys outlook in it.

Looking closer at this catalog, i now see they offer only 5" or 2". A 5 inch is massive. So not too interested in a 5. But how would a 2" look? Would you even be able to notice it?

I'm sure you can find a 4" if you really want I think abcexclusive.com might have some. Your looking for a cowl hood?

i think a 2" is perfect! it looks sick and agressive and at the same time ur not over doing it u know what i mean. i think the bigger ones are more for stangs that need em for a reason. its gona look sick from the outside but u wont have anything to show for it under the hood. but a 2" is perfect! now with this talk about those hoods i might want me one of those too.
