1995 trunk release button

I have an extra plug in on the harness for my trunk thats not used and was wondering if I could install a trunk release button on mine. It's doesn't have the button for it either. Any comments?

I don't have an answer but I don't like to see threads go unanswered so I'll kinda bump it up a little

I believe the latching system is different. Take a picture of it and I'll compare it with mine.

I've done some digging and can't find an easy way to do it. I've found nothing online about adding the remote release on a 95. It can be done, but your looking at some money into parts and getting it all wired up. After all they have kits to do it on a 60's mustang, it really becomes a matter of how much money your willing to spend on pushing a button to open your trunk.....

True. I just didn't know if I could pull one off of one that had it( latch and all) and swap it out I know I can get one at a pull it near here. I might check it out just to see. But I agree. I don't wanna spend a whole bunch to be able to push a button to pop the trunk

You could pull the whole setup out of a 99-04 stang. Glove compartment button, wiring, latch, etc. Could probably get it all at a salvage yard. Probably wouldn't work with a keyfob though, just the button in the glove box.

So all that should bolt right up to mine? It's worth a shot if I can get it cheap

Possibly, check your local junk yards and see what they will charge for the parts.
