Re: Exust system

definitely flowmasters. had a guy come into the place i work at the other day and thought he was a v8 til i saw the hood and lack of cut outs. asked him and said he had stock cats, cut behind them added an h pipe and twin flow 44's. all for 220 o.o

Re: Exust system

the county i live in requires cats on all vehicles that came with them, figured i could get by with losing 2 of them and pass inspection

Re: Exust system

im gonna guess back two, since its easier being as how theyre lower down the exhaust and not up near the headers.

if the inspection guys knows what he is doing there is a chance you can still fail.i am pretty sure most laws say the vehicle must have the same amount of cats originally equipted with.but i could be wrong and/ or the inspection guy may not know the difference.the safest way is to get high flow cats.

Re: Exust system

i know the guy, and while he will pass me with none, he still has to hook the sniffer up to it and send the results to wherever they get sent. so i figured 2 would help make my chances better

Easiest way to make it look like you have all of them is gut them meaning cut them out and take a metal rod and shove all of the packing out till its just a shell then get welded back in

I just got done talking to the guy about my exhaust. What they do us convert the y pipe to an h, and use single chamber mufflers. All together about 350. Doesn't sound to bad. Has to keep stock cats on though. Maybe ill pull 2 off and hollow them out
