I actually don't spend a lot of money. I have a bunch of parts on it by I look for deals. I got the bumper on Craig's for 50 and got it painted for 70 so I really spend around 120-130 bucks on it

My 3" tips hang below my bumper cover too, and I like them just fine as they are. I decided that a GT bumper cover was more expense than it was worth.

i got a brand new gt bumper from partsgeek.com for dirt cheap and you can get it painted at a garage for like $100 not that bad and well worth the money the look is unbeatable. only thing you will have to do is cut the hangers on the tips and lift it so it fits in the cutouts thats what i had to do but it took like 20 min. looks good though

Re: What u guys think new tips?

I like them, look like the rolled tips that came on the Mach 1's and Bullitts.

I personally think 3" tips are as big as you should go under the stock v6 bumper. Anything larger looks weird just hanging underneath...

If you have the GT bumper 3" actually look small...3.5" to 4" fill out the cutouts better.

Yah if you have a more popular color like red, silver or black you can probably find a GT bumper pretty cheap...I searched for over a year and never found one in sonic blue for under $400..and you can tell the shade difference from an 02 to an 03 believe it or not...when I first got my hood from Brian's 02 GT and put it on you could see the difference...his was more "blue" while my fenders had more purple in them.

I couldn't stand it so I had the whole front clip blended and re-painted in factory code matching SN.

Re: What u guys think new tips?

I like them, have you thought about cutting the bumper so it looks more like a GT? I did that to my V6

Re: What u guys think new tips?

It looks fine but yeah, it would look sharp with the cut-outs. They also sell nice trim pieces to slide up into the cut-outs too.

Re: What u guys think new tips?

this is what I did to my V6. I didn't use any inserts. I'm pretty sure these were also 3in rolled tips.

This was way cheaper then buying a GT bumper. I just got lucky that the muffler shop guys did a good job. I had seen some pretty nasty hack jobs before.

Not bad but IMO I like the gt bumper look better but for the price you can't beat that.
