Need help locating a part 98 Mustang V6 3.8l

Someone please help!!!!

I am trying to locate a water bypass elbow for a 1998 V6 3.8l. I have been to junk yards, auto part stores even online. I cannot locate this part to save my life. Any suggestions would be sooooo helpful.

P.S Ford has discontinued the part.

Thanks-

Can you post a picture of what you are talking about?
I may be able to help you find an alternative fix.

Ok, You can replace that with a 4-way tee from a plumbing or hardware store. You will need to get the correct size so take it with you.
You will also need an insert adapter fitting for the hose connection and a plug for the top.
Use whatever length pipe nipple you need on the bottom to set the height.

Should the fittings be copper?

---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------

also the tee you see sticking out is threaded in the inside for the temp sensor

Copper, brass or bronze would be best, but a galvanized tee would work.
A 4-way or cross tee should be threaded at all 4 openings.
However, you may need an adapter for the temperature sensor if the threads on it do not match the tee threads.

In Maryland they dropped a 3.8 v6 95 mustang in the junk yard. Not many people have touched it yet. Been about a week now

Look at online salvage yards too. I've found a lot from them. Might take about a week plus by the time payment is received and then shipped to you but it's a good way to expand to other junkyards outside of your city.

Just google online salvage yards or online used auto parts. It'll bring up a ton. You go to them and enter your vehicle and the part you're looking for. It runs a search over junkyards all over the country that are connected with the site and pulls up year, model, color, condition, and even the yards contact info so you can email or call and get pictures sent to you then buy if you want. It's pretty neat. Just make sure it's real people lol.
