Hawk Quiet Slot Rotors

I bought these for the front with new hawk pads and for being "Quiet" they kinda aren't. They make a noise and it makes sense cuz of the design of little slots but I wasn't sure. Anyone have these rotors?

Re: Hawk Quiet Slot Rotors

I have drilled/sloted and they make no noise. Yours shouldn't make any noise after bedding in either. Ceramic pads should be quiet, low dust.

Mine aren't the drilled just the ones with the little slots in random spots on the disc. I also don't have ceramic pads, just the mixed metal ones. I broke em in just like the instructions said so idk

The semi metallic pads are more likely to make noise, even if bedded correctly.

That's good to know. I was mainly curious cuz the noise isn't bad or loud, I'm just very particular so I noticed it and wondered if anyone else had the same noise

Downside to some semi metallic pads, but nothing bad.

The pads came with a little packet of stuff but it's not that kind of noise. The easiest way I can explain it is that they sound like mountain bike brakes. When you grab the brakes you can hear the pads biting into the rotor but it just from the holes drilled in it. I figure my brakes are the same way.
