Duals and flowmasters

Just got my flowmaster super 44s this week for my 99. I was hoping for a nice and convenient place to run them, where they don't drag on the damn ground. Anyone elses insight would be loved.
I'm keeping the cats for now. Was thinking about chopping the pipe off on either side right after the cats and running a pipe from the cat to where the existing muffler is on the drivers, but I'm not sure where to go with passengers side without a bunch of bends and turns. And yes we are ballin on a tight budget, of course and as always

Re: Duals and flowmasters

you should have no issue at all running the super 44's I ran them on my 04 V6. a muffler shop should be able to install them with no problems. here are some picS of my old V6.

Re: Duals and flowmasters

Yeah, what he said. You need to purchase 2 mufflers and a set of tailpipes. A set of tailpipes will run you about $150 new.

Re: Duals and flowmasters

this is what i did. I have done this to both my GT and my V6. Buy some mufflers, go to muffler shop and say can you install these for me. they say no problem an hour later you have duals. just let them know if you want to use a Y-Pipe an H-pipe or an X-pipe like I did

tailpipes are the pipes out (after) of the muffler, over the axle and then under the bumper.

Most muffler shops will have the tail pipes in stock. Just need to pick out a nice set of tips. I also reccomend that you have rhe rear bumper cut so the tail pipes fit like a GT
