supercharger and twin turbo IS POSSIBLE!

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
TWIN TURBO AND SUPERCHARGER - MustangForums.com
and a video

There made to hook-up to a cobra's super charger it looks like? seems like then it should be possible to modify one to fit on a super charged six?

I asked this question a couple months ago and every said it was impossible! I found this and it just made my day. even though it'd cost a lot to make the engine capable of running this setup.

Re: supercharger and twin turbo IS POSSIBLE!

yeah i know it looks awesome, but I read that they only push 30psi? don't they have turbos and prochargers that already push more than 30psi? the only good thing I really see in this is that the supercharger would get rid of the turbo lag.

They do it because you get the pros of both, and loose the downfalls of each. The supercharger gets rid of turbo lag, and the turbo makes up for lost power from the belt driven supercharger.

Re: supercharger and twin turbo IS POSSIBLE!

This post made me curious... Clearly I know NOTHING about superchargers or turbo chargers, so I have to ask.............

If the intake is under positive pressure, where does the vacuum come from to operate the vacuum break booster?

Saw a video on YouTube on several people were up on the dyno with their cars, one had twins and an S/C he made little over 900rwhp and I believe in the 7-800s for torque. Even with the compound boost there were still other mustangs pulling more than that.
I'll look up the vid.

Well, the set up would cost around 11,000 minus all the tubing and supporting mods.
With full forged 4.2-4.3L v6 I know you can use about 20/boost and make nearly 500-600hp.
*researched through supersix*
So I'd say around 600 at crank so 520rwhp?

i saw one called triple charged.i dont remember what kind of car it was.but it had twin turbos and a super charger i believe.the creator of it explains in pretty good detail on how it did really help the low end,but he makes the best power with a small shot of nitrous through a turbo.on a turbo setup,i dont remember the numbers exactly but he added a 65 shot and gained over 200 hp.so according to this guy the best scenario is turbo nos.

here it is.very cool vids.lots of custom fabrication

That's what I was getting at.you do get great low end torque.but if you want the best gain through a little nitrous in your forced induction if your engine is prepped good.

positive displacement blowers like the OEM setup on the 03/04 cobras make GREAT low end thats for sure, my dyno graph has great tq down low and its a flat curve as well
